| Evaluation |
| An initial one hour on-site evaluation can be performed for potential clients, which is billed at our regular hourly rate. If you decide to use our services, the one hour payment will be credited toward your first invoice. |
| After hours support |
| Our regular hourly consulting rate applies to all scheduled work performed Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM, excluding national holidays. Work performed outside those hours is billed at 150% our regular consulting rate, with a two-hour minimum. |
| In-person visits |
| There is a two hour minimum charge for in-person consulting visits, and after the second hour, time is billed in half-hour increments. Oftentimes, problems can be resolved over the phone or remotely. Phone and remote consulting is billed in 15 minute increments. |
| Travel |
| Travel is free to locations in the Chicago area. This includes counties of Dupage, Kane, Will and Cook in Illinois. Travel to other areas will be billed at 50% of our regular hourly consulting rate. |
| Data and backups |
| Clients are fully responsible for backing up their data prior to any work being performed on their equipment, and InternetSite Consulting will not be responsible for any data loss caused by, or due to a lack of, previously installed backup systems. Thanks to the great work of companies like DriveSavers, irreversible data loss is relatively uncommon. However, data recovery performed by such companies is often very expensive, and should only be used in an emergency as a last resort. Such scenarios are easily avoidable, though, by always having at least one extra copy (preferably two) of all important data. If you don't have a backup system, we can recommend software and hardware backup products and help you build one. |
